WHY IS NATURAL LATEX THE BEST THING OUT?
1. 100% NON-TOXIC
- PROBLEM: 99% of mattresses on the market use toxic petrochemically derived foams (e.g., polyurethane / memory foam) as cushioning layers. These foams are made using a chemical reaction between polymers and a catalyst, and continue to off-gas volatile organic compounds (VOCs) even after they are made.
- SOLUTION: We instead opt to use 100% natural, organic and EcoCertified non-toxic latex as comfort layers in our mattresses. Natural latex is the safest, more hypoallergic and naturally anti-microbial cushioning.
2. UNMATCHED SUPPORT
- PROBLEM: Conventional polyurethane foam is the biggest culprit of early sagging, wear spots and indentations in mattresses, as they lack resiliency partly due to their mechanical characteristics and low density. Slow recovery foams like memory foam, also lack elastic pushback properties for support.
- ANSWER: Natural latex is the only cushioning which has a linear deflection curve property; meaning that it exerts an elastic pushback depending on the load imparted on it. In comfort & support terms, natural latex is able to conform and push back in real-time irrespective of individual body shape and relative weight to maintain a neutral spinal position (i.e., support).

3. NO-COMPROMISE PRESSURE ALLEVIATION
- Optimal comfort during sleep requires comfort (pressure relief) and support to maintain a neutral spinal position or netural lordorsis.
- PROBLEM: Mattresses which use conventional foam cushioning (e.g., memory foam) for pressure relief have a large trade off with support. Memory foam for example, takes pressure off and is generally soft, but does not push back with an elastic force.
- SOLUTION: Natural latex is the only material that simultaneously relieves pressure by being surface elastic and achieves support by having an immediate pushback effect. So much so, that our flagship line of full latex mattresses do away with conventional spring coils which induce stiffness in mattresses and are the ultimate in progressiveness in feel and deep underlying support.
4. COOL, BREATHABLE SLEEP
- PROBLEM: Conventional foam cushioning used in mattresses has a semi-closed to closed cell structure, which is not conducive for ventilation and breathability.
- SOLUTION: Natural latex is the most breathable cushioning material available. Because it is not chemically made, it has an open & connected porous cell structure that permits airflow and breathability. We pair this property of natural latex with thermally regulating textiles to maximse cool, breathable sleep.
